Public Buses – not for DRAG-RACING
Monday, 11 July 2005
Dear STM Bus Drivers,
Show some fucking consideration, will you?
Were you trained to drive solo, on a race track, or something?
You don’t need to launch yourself from every stop, move at breakneck speeds, and then torture test your brakes when arriving at the next stop – GOT IT? GOOD!!!
Also:
1. How is it that you manage to be late almost every weekend evening run that I take, despite your drag-racing style? Show some manners and apologise for once, when you’re late (almost always 3+ minutes, according to your posted schedules).
2. Would you mind waiting until people are ALL THE WAY INSIDE your bus BEFORE you LAUNCH?!? Or do you really want to see what happens when you go to Warp 9 with someone in an open airlock? GROW SOME BRAINS and show a little PATIENCE!
3. DON’T ACT LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG when you show up 15 minutes late for your run, ok? Last weekend (2 July) there was NO 22:14 run of the 121, if I remember correctly. WTF is your excuse? At least make some kind of apology, and LOOK LIKE YOU MEAN IT, TOO.
The Metro system is sweet, but you geniuses running above ground don’t hold a candle to Vancouver’s weekend evening service, or the punctuality of its buses at any time of the day, on any day of the week, if your ROUTE 121 drivers are any indication. You are a blight on your own company’s reputation.
