OK – I’m ready to head home any time. It’s nothing to do with the city, however.
I (and my two fellow co-workers who moved out here just before me) am getting sick of the bullshit going on at work. Should an opportunity arise to GET THE FUCK OUT, we’ll be all over it, ASABFWP.
We should never be caught unaware by our customers, but this has happened FIVE TIMES since the beginning of this year – 3 large unannounced promotions, and 2 significant rule changes, also unannounced (and not posted on our Rules pages before-hand). Completely unacceptable and unprofessional conduct by members of other departments, considering it would only have taken an email sent out one day (though preferably one week) in advance, to say “BTW, we’re going to do (whatever) tomorrow/next week.” – a matter of a couple of minutes’ work. FUCKING PATHETIC.
The irony is that we were told that the reason our department was being moved across the country was to “improve communications” within our department (or was it between departments – obviously not). Apparently the same memo did not apply to any other department. Thank you very much, but you could have FUCKED US OVER just as easily back in Vancouver – MORONS!!!
Brother/Sister – can ya spare a million bucks to help me get back home, buy a condo (in Vancouver – not cheap), and kick back for a year? C’mon.

Tommy, me boy – how much do YOU know about psychiatry – aside from what you were told by fellow Scientologists? I do not pretend to know the history – though I am aware of some aspects from even 2 generations ago that would not be acceptable at all these days, generally speaking – electro-shock therapy, for example.
Could you be more of a coward to attack someone who has suffered from any kind of depression – is compassion a foreign concept to you? It certainly seems so, speaking as one who has experienced clinical depression – though not post-partum depression, to be sure. Even Christianity, as little as I care for its organised forms, would do a much better job of instilling empathy in its followers, than would Scientology, judging by your, and Kelly Preston’s, examples.
I do not pretend to be objective, but you could use a little field research, methinks – visit psychiatrists, and their patients, and try to FEEL what they have experienced. I know that psychiatric drugs have saved me from the worst effects of depression – first Prozac, then Celexa. I have spent the last 15 years variously on, and off, of one of these two drugs, and can say without question that they helped. Others (family and close friends) could also attest to the differences in me when on, or off, of these drugs. Are we all deluding/deceiving ourselves? – in case that would be part of your trite little retort.
Personally, I would like to see these aids come without side-effects, including the potential suicide-inducing effects, as these cannot but harm patients by mitigating the benefits of the drug, which are demonstrable, if you are capable of paying proper attention to the patients’ responses.
If you think you can be objective, coming from the point of view of Scientology (or even just your personal views, in general, since you say you doubted the findings of psychiatry in your pre-Scientology years), you are kidding yourself.
You say you care about Ms. Shields, yet you attack her for using these drugs, when someone who truly cared would want her to find a way that demonstrably worked for her, even if you have some mild reservations. Stop putting your poor fragile sensibilities before her well-being, if you care so much.
Finally – It couldn’t hurt to show a little bit of proper manners, and STOP CUTTING PEOPLE OFF in mid sentence, such as Mr. Lauer. Don’t give us the “Passionate about life” crap either – that’s not an excuse for being rude.
You have become a joke, me boy – get out of our sight, and come back when you’ve learned some respect for others’ feelings.
